The implementation plan for the Black Sea

On May 4, 2023, the implementation plan for the Black Sea (SRIA- Seas, Rivers, Islands and Costal Areas) was launched at the European Parliament, an event hosted and chaired by MEP Marian-Jean Marinescu within the SEArica Intergroup. On behalf of INCDSB participated Dr. Mihaela Paun, General Director and Dr. Manuela Sidoroff, DANUBIUS department head.

The SRIA implementation plan aims to protect the unique habitats of the Black Sea, by supporting marine sectors that will stimulate the blue economy and implicitly create new jobs.
SRIA proposes to address the fundamental challenges of the Black Sea, to promote the blue economy, to build vital support systems and an innovative research infrastructure, to improve and develop the capacity of education.

In this context, ROSTEu – the Romanian Office for Science and Technology to the EU organized on May 5, 2023, at the headquarters of the Permanent Representation of Romania to the EU, the event “The Story of the Black Sea, from the Strategic Agenda for Research and Innovation to the Implementation Plan”.
